"Lacrimosa: A Tribute to the Works of Atsushi Hirasawa" was originally composed for Trio Zephyrus (Masako Shindo, soprano; Kiyonori Sogabe, trumpet; Yasuko Ii, organ). It is a piece inspired by the paintings of Atsushi Hirasawa, who passed away on October 10, 2018. Although a premiere by the trio was originally planned, it has not yet taken place due to various circumstances. This sheet music is a revised version in which the organ part has been replaced by the piano. The first section is tonal (modulating from D minor to B minor), with the main portion based on the “Lacrimosa” from the Mozart Requiem (as completed by Süssmayr). Offeltorium, Ave Maria for Brass Septet by A.Bruckner

[Herr Jesu Christ, dich zu uns wend] for Brass Trio(Trumpet Horn Trombone).

The piece begins with a succession of sixteenth notes played by a single shakuhachi. The remaining four shakuhachi add accents to these, followed by a transitional section quoting Ravel's "Tzigane," before arriving at an idea "like five snakes' entanglement." The middle section is slow, with a structure that reverses and counter-rotates, with the central measure acting as a mirror. After a section of "entanglement," the opening section recurs, and the "entanglement" reaches a climax, recalling the slow section once before arriving at the post-coda. This piece has premierred by Shakuhachi 5 (Akihito OBAMA, Kizan Kawamura, Reison KURODA, Akihisa KOMINATO, Ken-ichi TAJIMA）at Tokyo Opera-city Recital Hall, on December 5, 2025.

A short piano solo piece for children.

The piece begins with a chord played on the piano in the upper register, consisting of the notes D, A, B♭, E, F, and E. For the composer, this felt like a sign that "rain is coming." Following this piano prelude containing this chord, the main melody is played by the flute over a 6/8 arpeggiated chord. Subsequently, the "rain" begins with a continuous stream of 16th notes on the piano. The flute melody returns with a slight increase in intensity, and the prelude is recalled in a piano solo. The piano then shifts to an accompaniment of continuous 16th notes, and the music becomes somewhat more urgent. After a middle section featuring a flute solo, the piece enters a rapid final section. The flute plays a free melody over a regular three-beat accompaniment on the piano. Following a passage in unison between the flute and piano, the piece moves into the coda and concludes. This piece has premiered by Yukari Kaneko (fl.) Noa Watanabe(pf) on November 8th, 2025, in Koshi-no-Kaze no. 14.
